A woman, who has already won compensation for a non-malignant asbestos-related illness, is again suing 27 companies over a malignant disease.
Ben Wilkerson filed the complaint in Jefferson County District Court on 11th April.
The suit says Wilkerson worked as a pipefitter and that he developed a malignant disease as a result of her exposure to asbestos dust and fibers during the job. The dates of her employment are not mentioned in the complaint.
The defendant companies made, distributed or used dangerous asbestos products, but didn’t warn their workers regarding the risk, the suit says.
The plaintiff is seeking exemplary damages.
